ISLAMABAD: US Senator John McCain on Saturday called on Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and demanded withdrawal of NOC requirement on the movement of US diplomats, Geo News reported.
US ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter was also present in the meeting.
The meeting stressed on moving a step further from the cooperation on counter terrorism and working on a joint strategy to improve bilateral relations.
PM Gilani reiterated that stable, sovereign and prospering Afghanistan is in the interest of Pakistan.
The Premeir also assured McCain and Munter for considering the matter of removing condition on the movement of diplomats.
Meeting of Senator John McCain is also expected with President Asif Ali Zardari and the military leadership.
