Karzai urges Taliban to help rebuild Afghanistan

 KABUL: Afghan President Hamid Karzai urged the Taliban to come forward and contribute to the building of their own country.

In regard to the current situation in Afghanistan, President Karzai believed that political dialogue was the only way out for solving domestic issues.

He believed that the Taliban and Afghans were not part of terrorist networks or intelligence agencies which were using them against Afghanistan. He hoped that Taliban members would accept the Afghan Constitution and try to integrate themselves into society.

As of Taliban members launching terrorist attacks and killing innocent people, President Karzai deemed it intolerable.
