India wants resolution of Kashmir issue NEW DELHI: Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and India have agreed to continue talks on Kashmir. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar said this is “indeed a new era in bilateral relations between the two countries.”

Speaking during a press conference after the talks, Indian Foreign Minister SM Krishna said India has agreed to seek a resolution to the Kashmir issue and discussions with a "view to find a peaceful solution" would continue.

He remarked that relations with Pakistan “were on the right track.” Krishna expressed satisfaction at the progress achieved adding “we have reaffirmed our commitment to resolve all outstanding issues through a comprehensive, serious and sustained dialogue.”

Khar who is on her first visit to India as Foreign Minister, lay emphasis on the dialogue process being result oriented adding that both countries should build convergences and narrow divergences.

On the issue of terrorism, she said that this poses a serious threat to the security of both countries.
